Use of Bioceramics Enhanced with Effective Microorganisms as an Additive for Construction. Study of Physical and Mechanical Properties in Cement Mortars and Gypsum Plasters

Biomaterials are materials that used to manufacture devices interact with biological systems. According their chemical composition, they can be classified as biometals, biopolymers, bioceramics, biocomposites and semiconductors. Thus, in the present work, application of enhanced effective microorganisms, construction (cement mortars gypsum plasters) was studied order see benefits its incorporation contributes materials. This first work constitutes phase an experimental campaign which influence bioceramics on physical mechanical properties (flexural compressive strength) analyzed. Furthermore, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP) techniques were used. results, a slight improvement new composites observed.
